Coordinated Research Infrastructures Building Enduring Life-science Services (CORBEL)
EMPHASIS is member of the Coordinated Research Infrastructures Building Enduring Life-science Services (CORBEL).
CORBEL aims to establish and support a new model for biological and medical research in Europe by harmonising user access, unifying data management, creating common ethical and legal services, and offering joint innovation support.
The main objective of CORBEL is to drive interoperability and increased capabilities of the BMS RIs through the development and application of shared services. The distributed nature of the research infrastructures presents an opportunity, as users are co-located with RIs throughout the European Research Area. CORBEL is also intented to develop a common access framework that facilitates user access to services and resources across the involved RIs.
The CORBEL consortium comprises 37 individual partner from 13 ESFRI Biological and Medical Sciences Research Infrastructures (BMS RI) which have joined their scientific capabilities and services to transform the understanding of biological mechanisms and accelerate its translation into medical care.
Within the CORBEL consortium, EMPHASIS-PREP is representing the plant phenotyping RI sector.
