EMPHASIS supporting CATRIS, aiming at online catalogue for RI services
EMPHASIS has been invited to participate in the CATRIS validation workshop in Brussels today.
Within that workshop, CATRIS presented findings of scoping work on research infrastructure services categories and on developing a catalogue responding to user needs. The workshop provided a platform for experts from the research infrastructure community to provide feedback to CATRIS on its findings. EMPHASIS has been invited due to its multiple activities in the research infrastructure communities, including its participation and support for turning the European Open Science Cloud into reality (https://www.eoscpilot.eu/sites/default/files/eosclife.pdf), increasing the the visibility of research infrastructures on a global level (https://ri-vis.eu), and advising the environmental research infrastructure community on strategic issues (http://www.envriplus.eu/beeri/).
CatRIS (Catalogue of Research Infrastructure Services) is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, kicked off in Strasbourg on 25 January 2019. CatRIs will build an online catalogue of European research infrastructure services, with particular emphasis on physical infrastructures. This novel information gateway will help improve the visibility of services, enhance RI usage and impact, and foster European and international collaborations (http://www.efiscentre.eu/catris-projects-online-catalogue-of-ri-services-a-survey).
