User Survey

EMPHASIS aims at developing a long-term sustainable strategy for a user-driven plant phenotyping infrastructure providing services demanded by the plant science community at large.

In 2018, we analysed the real user demands towards EMPHASIS by performing an extensive survey with 320 participants.

In 2021, we carried out another survey to evaluate the current state of plant phenotyping across Europe and the world. More than 800 participants from all over the world have completed the survey.

We have published the survey responses for the benefit of the community; analyses and summaries of the survey results will follow.
